Recovery time:
For most patients, a full recovery takes about one to two weeks. That said, if you received treatment for both of your legs, you can expect a longer recuperation period.
Recommendation:
With microphlebectomy, tiny incisions are made to remove the offending veins. The incisions are usually about one to three millimeters in size and do not typically require any stitches. Scarring is small, and discomfort is minimal, but it's recommended that patients rest for 2 – 3 days after their procedure. Avoid extraneous exercise for at least a week after the procedure. Avoid heat or sun exposure for 3-7 days after the procedure. Wear medical grade compression leggings for 7 to 14 days after the procedure.
